Meet Your Photographer

My name is Shanté, and I’m a wedding and portrait photographer based in Lynchburg, VA, and the surrounding areas. My love for vintage-inspired, timeless, and elegant details is reflected through my work. With a background in art history and fashion, I’m inspired by the beauty that surrounds us, from high renaissance and 17th century baroque art to the intimate, meaningful moments that unfold between couples and families. 

For me, photography is more than just a career—it’s a way to preserve the authenticity of a moment, crafting memories you can return to and treasure for years to come. My goal is to create art that speaks to the heart and showcases each couple’s unique love story with elegance and sincerity.

As an introvert and an INFJ on the Myers-Briggs, I know how intimidating it can feel to be in front of a camera, especially when you're unsure of what to expect. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating an experience where my clients feel relaxed and confident. I love helping people shed their initial awkwardness and embrace the moment, allowing their true personalities and emotions to shine. 

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m likely enjoying a warm cup of tea (in a beautiful teacup of course!), exploring antique shops, reading a fantasy novel, or writing for my Christian women’s blog. Ultimately, I believe every photograph should reflect the natural beauty of life’s moments, capturing them as art to be cherished for generations.
